Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2

Alright guys! Fortnite is a video game rated teen and has you jump from a flying bus and into a world scattered with weapons of different rarities. There is also another mode called: Save The World, but today we’ll be covering most of the Battle Royale mode.

As of the time of writing, it is season 2, chapter 2 (Or season 12 as you may call it.) The theme of season 12 is about two spy agencies fighting for control over the Battle Royale island. There are the *good* guys, Ghost and the bad guys, Shadow. Ghost and shadow have fought over the island and have set up bases around it since the start of the season.

But putting all the spy stuff aside, the goal of Battle Royale is to be the last team (or person) standing. You start with 99 other players in the lobby and try to eliminate others to climb to the top.

Before you jump from the battle bus and start your match, you want to have a drop location. There are named places on the map that hold a variety of chests, floor loot, ammo boxes, and more.

Spy agencies can also be located around the map and hold some of the best weapons in the game. Lots of weapons that were taken out of the game are back now and can only be found at spy agencies.

For example, the suppressed assault rifle as seen below are only found at Ghost bases.

the weapon above was vaulted and was brought back. Suppressed weapons such as the suppressed pistol, suppressed sniper rifle, and the suppressed assault rifle can only be obtained by opening a henchman chest or eliminating a henchman at a Ghost spy bace.

Heavy weapons, such as the heavy sniper rifle and the heavy assault rifle are only found at Shadow bases.

Now let’s talk about Mythic items.

Mythic item are the best type of rarity and are only found at Spy bases. For example, The Agency, found at the center of the map holds one mythic item. Mythic items are ONLY carried by bosses that (ironically) are battle pass skins and could be the skin YOU are wearing. The Agency’s mythic item is a drum gun and is carried by Midas, the tier 100 skin.

Here is Midas, standing in The Agency, carrying both his mythic drum gun and The Agency’s vault key card.

Midas has 300 health but isn’t that hard to kill if you sneak up on him with a disguise on and then spam a gun at his head.

Once you eliminate Midas, he will drop both his key card and his drum gun. Take both for they are very valuable.

Use the keycard to open the vault, located near the edge of the agency. Once you open it you will see TONS of chests and you will be covered in loot in seconds.

This applies to all major spy bases that are named as they will have different battle pass skins guarding it (One to a location) and will hold a key card to their vault plus one to two mythic weapons.

The complete list of mythic items are the Drum Gun, the Scar, the Grappler, the Ka-Boom Bow, the Minigun, and the Peow Peow Rifle.

These weapons are completely worth it and hopefully they won’t get vaulted again in season 13.

Some all new things added to Battle Royale can include the Choppa which is a helicopter and the Kingsman, which is an umbrella. The Kingsman does 50 damage per swing and does 100 damage for its final move. You can also glide with it and do  cool things to boost your speed for a couple of seconds. As of my time of writing though, the Kingsman has recently been vaulted.

 *New!* Deadpool Chalenges

Most people know who Deadpool is but do you know he and his challenges were added to Fortnite? Deadpool can be found through a secret air vent in the Battle Pass page and his challenges are listed on a computer in the room.

By completing his challenges, you can earn the Deadpool gun wrap, Deadpool’s back bling katanas, and even the outfit of Deadpool himself.

Deadpool has seemed to have taken over The Yacht  and he is now an alternate boss along with Meowscles, who is a Battle Pass skin and was pushed to the box factory. If you can eliminate Deadpool at The Yacht, he will drop his dual pistols, which are a mythic item.

The dual pistols don’t necessarily do much damage but they do give you health and shield when you hit another player with it making them a useful gun/med tool.

Well, that’s it for this article, another one will be posted at the next big update or season. I hope this was informational!
