At the time of this writing (Early 2020) the above were the only official Mario Kart games.
Mario Kart has changed in many ways through-out the last 20 years. For example , you can now hold two items at a time instead of only one. Another example is that when you fell off the map before, you would fall to the very bottom and have to wait to respawn. Nowadays, you are just pulled up by a fishing-line and you can continue to race.
The game is a great way of mixing retro style gameplay and up-to-date graphics together to make a fun game. I personally like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe the most even though it is probably the most expensive of the 14 total games.
If you’re new to the game, this is a family-friendly racing game that has you racing through different places to be in first place. You can through things like turtle shells and bombs to slow other racers down as well. As you win more matches, you unlock more vehicles that can go faster, deflect more damage, and other perks.
For Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a couple of other games, you can even go online to compete against real people.
This is one of my favorite video games so you should give a version a try. If you don’t like it, try another version! You’re sure to like one of them if you’re in to racing and/or classic Mario games!
