Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 3

Season three is here, and that means all-new weapons, drop locations, mythic items, and so much more. This season’s theme is water, and I’d say about 50 percent of the map is now flooded or floating on water now.

The Story

So after Midas’ plan went haywire, it seems that the tidal waves that replaced the storm finally broke, flooding most of the lower parts of the map and destroying most of last season’s all-new locations with mythic items. (Which were replaced, thankfully, but we’ll get to that later) The war between Ghost and Shadow has not stopped, with more places falling to one side or another. Later in the season, hopefully, there will be more storyline secrets to discover.

New Things

Tons of new things were added on the release of season three. For example, there are now new mythic items. These include, Kit’s Charge Shotgun, Kit’s Shockwave Launcher, Jules’ Drumgun, Jules’ Grapple Gun, Ocean’s Bottomless Chug Chug, and Ocean’s Burst Assault Rifle.

Although there are now only three bosses, there are still six mythic items, so it’s twice as rewarding when you eliminate a boss. New locations in this season include The Fortilla, The Authority, Catty Corner, and Rickety Rig. Others like Pleasant Park, Frenzy Farm, and others have started floating, or have sunk…

New Weapons

Plenty of old weapons have returned along with a new one. The newest item to the Fortnite world is the Charge Shotgun. This gun comes with an option to charge to deal more damage when shot. This gun is available in every rarity, common, uncommon, rare, epic, legendary, and even mythic.

Old weapons and consumables have returned too! For weapons returning we have the Hunting Rifle and the Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. Consumables that have returned are the Stink Bomb and the Chug-Splash!

I gotta say, Epic really worked up the nerve to add sharks into the game. I think they’re pretty cool! They swim idly through the water until you get close enough. It you’re swimming, they will come over to deal a 50 damage bite. If you’re on land, they will jump out of the water, and what’s more? Deal another 50 damage bite.

These sharks are rideable and killable. Killing them with make them drop weapons, which could be as good as legendary, or as terrible as common. To ride one, lure it to bite your fishing line. If they do, you will get a pair of water skis and you are free to ride, jump, and bite enemies with this awesome animal.

I think season three was a great refresh to the Fortnite game and I’m enjoying it a ton! This is it for this blog so I hope you enjoyed it! Catch you on the Battle bus! See ya.
