This game is an alternative Fortnite game to the Battle Royale mode that you’re probably familiar with. Save the World was released July 25, 2017 and came out before the well known Battle Royale mode. The point of the game is to help survivors from creatures known as husks and defend your bace when the Husks come out.
You can craft weapons and have access to different items and tools than the Battle Royale mode. You adventure throughout different places but can always come back to your home bace any time. By saving people from the Husks, you can gain crafting materials and begin to level up your armory.
The game is kinda like Fortnite: Story Mode except you have a lot more control over what you’re doing in the game. As you play you will get better at playing and you can continue to rescue survivors and do good in the world(s)
You complete objectives throughout the game and feel a great sense of accomplishment when you complete difficult tasks, like beating a boss husk. There’s a little bit of harsh language when fighting but no swearing or anything.
As you roam around and defeat husks around the map, the storm that spawns the husks will retract and the goal is to get rid of all the baddies and the storm that’s creating them. You can buy things with money but it feels better to earn items on your own. There is a lot of cool tech like the storm shield, that will stop husks from spawning in the area. The game takes a while to complete and is really fun along the way.
This game is limited to PC, Xbox, Playstation, and a few other consoles and typically costs about 40.00$. Whether you are willing to make this purchase or not I don’t know but if you do, hopefully you’ll consider it a worthy investment.
