I received a lot of messages from viewers last time I did a storyline blog, so I thought it would be cool to start creating a little series of my own explaining the Fortnite story line.
With our last Storyline blog, I went wrong at a lot of things, so today there will be quite a lot to cover with today’s blog.
Possible Leaks
To sum up the live event that ended season 2, Midas used the doomsday device to try and push back the storm and destroy it, rather that use it to flood the map as we thought. This leads us to why he’s done this, which is called the Simulation Theory, but we’ll get to that later.
Midas’s plan seemed to work, with many ins and outs as the storm fought back, but finally, the device prevailed and the storm was destroyed, or so we thought…
The Simulation Theory
The Device event left us with a lot more questions than answers but this theory seems to be the best one.
This theory is called the simulation theory, and it means exactly what is sounds like. When you die in Fortnite, you don’t actually die. As seen in the picture below, you just get zapped up by a drone when your health is critically low and the process restarts.
Remember how I thought Midas was putting FAKE helmets on his wall to scare off others? Well this theory proves that wrong. Midas, being a mean guy and all probably learned about the simulation when he was out in the world and eliminated someone and took their helmet to his room under the agency. He turned them to gold and made a helmet and statue wall of his victims. But then he started to notice something.
There were two Agent Lynx’s in his room. He noticed that when he killed someone, they just respawned and turned up again and again. He realized he was in a simulation. Because of this he worked with Jules the Engineer to build the doomsday device, which would destroy the storm, and people would no longer have to eliminate others to stop the storm from moving.
Sadly, his plan backfired when the storm was replaced by a giant wall of water that eventually collapsed and flooded the map. Assuming the fortnite trailer was related to the storyline, it means that Midas was eaten by a shark but then was in the simulation again, without knowledge of the loop he’s stuck in. So is Midas dead? No. He’s still stuck in the loop along with the other thousands of skins in fortnite and has no memory of it.
Agent Jonsey's plan
In the Doomsday Live Event, your character was transported to a mysterious office three times. Each time though, the loop overpowered whatever caused you to be there, and you were sent back to the Fortnite island. When you were in the office though, you could hear Agent Jonsey, voiced by Troy Baker, trying to control the situation of the Doomsday Device.
Their were many things in Agent John Jones room including pictures of him with others, confirming that he has a life outside (Or inside) of the game Fortnite. Probably one of the most interesting things about his room though was his desk. On it you will notice three Top Secret folders for Jules, Midas, and Lynx, a TV recording the Live Event, and finally a cup with the Ghost logo on it.
Why Ghost? Does Agent Jonsey work for it? Or does he simply have it as a souvenir. This remains a mystery but it is likely that he doesn’t work for Ghost, because as he talks, it seems as if he is control of another organization, maybe even one that controls the Fortnite world!
Possibilities are that he works for Vendertech, which is a group from save the world, which would explain why the marauders are actually characters from save the world. It is possible that Jonsey is the one that is keeping the loop that has gotten everyone stuck in Fortnite. But why though? Is Jonsey good or bad? You decide and let me know in the comments.
Wrapping Up
Thanks for reading guys. But don’t click off yet, because I have something that could possibly relate to the storyline and will blow your mind.
You know the **Redacted** Bunker? If not, it’s a place on the map next to Catty Corner as shown below.
As you can see, this is the Redacted Bunker as shown at the bottom left corner. It has been here since Season 1 Chapter 2 but doesn’t open and no-one knows what’s inside.
Now, why will this blow your mind? Well take a look at the Symbol below and everything will make sence.
Now, if you can, look at the symbol upside down. Notice anything?
No? Here’s what it is. The Redacted bunker. If you look closely, it has the same little circle in the middle and the zig-zags are the mountains behind it. What can this mean? I don’t know. Maybe there is a secret bace inside the bunker. Tell me what you think and as always, thank you for reading.
Great article once again. Have you ever thought of doing an article on a retro game like Galaga, Pong, or Space Invaders? Would be really cool to see how gaming has changed over the years. Nice work Noah!
I’ll try! Thanks for reading!!!
