This event was really cool but was also kinda confusing. In a disappointing and shocking turn of events, the Doomsday Device Live Event DID NOT KICK OFF A NEW SEASON.
On the up-side though, it did add some major changes to the map as shown below.
Change #1
The Agency is now under Shadow control. Knowing that Midas may have been secretly working for Shadow, this wasn’t much of a surprise. This change, sadly, makes finding suppressed weapons, like the suppressed assault rifle and the suppressed sniper rifle, even more rare in the game. And also, The Agency is almost completely destroyed, with barely anymore walls around it.
Change #2
I’ve been saving the best for last. The storm was destroyed by the doomsday device, which would make the point of Battle Royale pointless, you would think. Thankfully, the storm was replaced by a giant tsunami. What’s cool about this is the fact that you can swim in it, up, down, anywhere. This makes getting the high ground on a building pretty easy as long as you’re willing to take some damage while doing so. And I forgot to mention, you can see fish and sometimes sharks in the wall of water as well.
The Event
The event itself was a lot to take in in my opinion. It looks as if Midas may have not been evil after all, and all he really wanted to do was demolish the storm. The event unfolds as the device rises and pushes back the storm. You even go in first person as a henchman and find out that JONSEY in an agent working for ghost.
Below is the Event itself so you can watch it if you haven’t already.
I’m not sure when the next season will come out, but I’m hyped for it and exited for the next period of new gameplay.
This is Noah, signing off.

Wow! Swimming in the tsunami sounds awesome! How many damage points do you end up with, though? Do you get more damage the more time you spend in it?
Depending on the number of storm phases have already passed, the more damage it does. (first phase = 1 dam per second, second phase = 2 dam per second, ect.)
