This game is a fun online or private battling game. The goal is to cover the map you spawn in with as much ink of your team’s color as possible. There are typically two teams that fight to cover the map with the most ink. If you get shot with the opposite team’s ink too much, you have to respawn.
You start in a small part of the city called ‘Inkopolis’ and there you can buy new weapons, in-game perks, and more to improve your gameplay or just look cooler.
You can train and customize your character before heading to Inkopolis and soon after that, you will be ready to battle others online and build up your character’s armory. Every once in a while, you’ll get a cool video of Off the Hook, which is like the Splatoon news.
You can also follow a story line where you need to save zap fish (A major power source) from the baddies that want its power. You become an agent and help Squid Sister Marie recollect the zap fish to power Inkopolis.
The game is fast-paced, and requires strategic planning in order to win the match. One of my favorite parts is that you can play it together with friends! Whether playing with or against your friends online, you’re sure to have a fun time.
Splatoon 2 costs 60.00$ but Nintendo is thinking on adding an annual subscription fee on top of that soon so buy it while it’s still cheap if you can.
